She's just really a simple girl, with an extraordinary passion about life....
Tammy's Story...
As a child, she was a victim of molestation, rape, and physical abuse. This led her to settling for both meaningless sexual relationships and emotionally abusive relationships in her teens and early twenties. Her need for validation and acceptance, coupled with a period of financial desperation, led her to work in the adult entertainment industry. Tammy’s delusions of grandeur resulted in pregnancy, loneliness, and in even greater emotional and physical crisis. "I was as broken as it gets," describes Dahl, who remembers having no desire to live at that point. Jesus, however, saw the treasure within her. Not shocked by her circumstances, not appalled by her actions, Jesus just wanted to show her the love for which she had longed her entire life.
On August 17th, 1994 Tammy accepted that love, which has since brought about miraculous change, growth, and blessings. It has been an incredible journey of healing, redemption, and restoration for Tammy, but most of all it has been a journey of love. Tammy reflects, "If I would have known that Jesus loved and cared for me this much, I would have let Him help me sooner."
Since then, Tammy has purposed in her heart to let people know the depths of God's grace and love. "My mistakes in life will never be a waste - they will always be a tool." In 1997, Tammy founded Out of Exile Ministries and has worked diligently to turn her vision of helping others see their incredible worth and value in Christ into a reality.
Today, Tammy travels extensively to speak about the true freedom that can be found in Jesus Christ. She continues to be a resource to ministers throughout the United States and abroad to assist them in reaching those who's lives have been deeply affected by sexual and emotional brokenness. God has gifted her with the ability to penetrate the hardest of hearts, and to ignite a passion in individuals to see beyond circumstances, learn how to discover their freedom, and live victoriously in this world through Jesus Christ.
In addition, Tammy's heart is to see God's people both discover their passion and purpose, and utilize their unique gifts and talents according to their heartbeat! We are all created uniquely and bring something different to the proverbial table in sharing our gifts and talents. She encourages individuals to break out of the boxes "people" tend to place them in, and to follow their heart!
Tammy say's..."when I turned my life back over to the one who gave me life (God), I started to feel alive again. I began using the gifts and talents God had given me...to help others! It brought me so much life and continues to do so.
